Hannason, Freshman >“SALT '09 was honestly the best four days of my life. Each and every speaker had outstanding messages, each of which spoke to my heart in different ways. The Encounter Workshops provided ways to deepen our faith in different aspects. For example, the workshop I felt was most beneficial to me was Baptism in the Holy Spirit because, with my church background, I'd never really been taught about who the Holy Spirit is and what He does. The worship services at SALT were like nothing I've ever experienced - I could feel the presence of God in that sanctuary! There's something about a large group of young people earnestly and whole-heartedly seeking the Lord! During SALT I drew nearer to God like never before and I was baptized in the Holy Spirit for the first time! God moved in a countless number of lives during those four days. Every single member of SFA Chi Alpha who was there received the Holy Spirit with evidence! God has got big things planned for SFA and I can't wait to see what he does in 2010!”

Freshman >"I went to SALT thinking nothing would happen to me. When I came into XA, I'd been recovering from a couple of addictions and also struggling with my identity as a woman, especially with men. As I went through SALT, though, I saw that many of the things I went through over the last few years, even the last few months, weren't mistakes but learning experiences, and I connected with God in a way I never thought I could. Every single sermon I got closer and closer to the Lord, letting go of a lot of bitterness and pain. Also while there, I took a class on Baptism in the Holy Spirit and was eventually baptized in the Holy Spirit. It was the most amazing experience! Now I plan on living a life devoted to God, making myself in His holy image, and living a life God would be proud of."
